Radiant Logistics Acquires Transcon Shipping

Radiant Logistics, a major player in the logistics world, has just acquired Transcon Shipping, a California-based company known for its ocean and air freight services. The deal, announced earlier this week on March 3, 2025, is set to strengthen Radiant’s ability to move goods across the globe, especially along the busy trans-Pacific trade route. While the exact price tag wasn’t shared, Radiant mentioned that part of the payment will depend on how well Transcon performs in the coming years—a smart move they’ve used in past deals too. This acquisition is a big step for Radiant as it aims to grow its network and keep up with the demands of the fast-moving logistics industry.

Transcon Shipping brings a lot to the table, with its expertise in handling full and less-than-container-load shipments, plus a strong presence in cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. Last year alone, Transcon pulled in $75 million in revenue, showing it’s a solid addition to Radiant’s lineup. Over the next year, Transcon will switch to using the Radiant brand and team up with existing Radiant operations in key U.S. cities. Plus, Transcon’s president, Terry Lynch, will stick around to help Radiant expand its international reach as the new VP of Global Network Development. For folks in the logistics game, this move signals Radiant’s determination to stay ahead in a competitive market.
